Coffee was introduced to India in the 17th century when Baba Budan brought beans from Arabia and planted them in Karnataka’s Chikmagalur hills. Since then, India has become one of the world’s finest producers of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans, known for their unique aroma, smooth flavor, and balanced acidity. Indian coffee, often grown in the shade of spice plantations, is considered among the best in Asia.

Cultivation & Procurement

       At I Kar Exports, we procure premium coffee beans from India’s best-known coffee-growing regions:

  • Karnataka (Chikmagalur, Kodagu, Hassan) – Produces over 70% of India’s coffee.

  • Kerala (Wayanad, Travancore, Nelliampathy) – Famous for Robusta beans.

  • Tamil Nadu (Nilgiris, Yercaud, Pulneys) – Known for fine-flavored Arabica beans.

  • Andhra Pradesh & Odisha (Araku Valley) – Organic coffee hubs.

Varieties Available

  • Arabica Coffee Beans – Mild flavor, rich aroma, lower caffeine.

  • Robusta Coffee Beans – Strong body, higher caffeine, bold flavor.

  • Green Coffee Beans – Unroasted, for health and specialty markets.
